Abstract
Plant operating continuously causes the machines should operate continuously as well. Continuously operating machine requires extra maintenance. Pumps are essential components in a fluid distribution industry. Pump whose work continuously will get vibration phenomenon caused by components damage in pump. Vibration analysis needed to determine pump vibration. A machine will vibra/e if the excitation frequency is equal or more than his natural frequency. In conducting vibration analysis that cause of tangential force on centrifugal pump of shaft, not only theoretically but also needed simulation using MATLAB Software with input of the calculation on theoretical of mass moment of inertia of a shaft and impeller, torsional stiffness the shaft, natural frequency and excitation frequency. From the analysis and simulated, known that excitation frequency caused tangential force of the torsional vibration of excitation in 1 mm in excess of the value of his natural frequency vibration in 0,2903 mm which pump resonating and causing noise. The result of measurement with a measuring instrument vibration also indicates the pump on vibrates, especially at the measurementpoint IV in vertical axis worth amplitude 9,153 mm/s-Peak.
