Abstract

To obtain the desired traction value or required force required the use of various transmission ratios where the transmission ratio used in electric cars 2x800 watts power can be able to fight the traction force and get the maximum speed. In the tesi of the electric car obtained the value of speed that did not reach the maximum speed on the design either in the condition of the road horizontal and uphill path it is because the path used is not as long as the design conditions. In a condition of electric car testing occurs acceleration or deceleration, the acceleration due to the force that can be obtained electric motor is greater than the drag force required electric car to drive. Factors that cause the deceleration is a driver factor that decreases the amount of power generated through the throtle and also the transmission factor on the gearbox where it does not use the clutch so that there is a large friction force on the gearbox that slows down the rate of electric cars. The use of various ti'ansmission ratios is very effective due to the increased torque value of the engine to obtain the highest efficiency value, both at the value of velocity, the value against the traction force and the efficiency of electricity consumption or power on the electric car. One other factor that requires the electric car to use the transmission ratio is the decrement of the highest efficiency value on the electric motor it can be seen from watthour on static testing where the value of engine rotation is smaller than the design conditions that affect the value of power on the electric motor. The maximum speed obtained in gear 3 with a load of 2 people that is equal to 24.6 km / h. Speed is almost close t o the speed of design where the maximum 30 km / h with a longer path so it is not impossible design speed can be achieved electric car. In the uphill road condilion the mcaimum speed produced can not be greater or near the maximum speed of flat road conditions that we can see on the chart where the biggest speed only reached 9.8 km / h.
