Abstract

This research is to evaluate Ihe comparison of mechanical properlies of mollen aluminium beverage can wilh another buming melhod. The result of Ihe casting vvill gel the Chemical composilion lesling. From Ihe result of the mechanical testing is for the besi mean impacl energy is in indirect buming fumace that increased about 25.07% from the direcl buming fumace. For the mean hardness value increased in indirect buming fumace wilh the percentage value 4.870% from the direct buming fumace. From the result of tensile testing, the percentage value of ullimale tensile (ou) and fracture tensile (q/) in indirect buming method increased 1.901% and 6.414% while the elongation (e) decreased about 16.67% from the direcl buming fumace. The conclusion is molten aluminium from indirect buming method have the ability lo produce quality castings slightly better than molten aluminium from direct buming melhod so thal Ihe mechanical properlies increased even thal is nol loo significant.
