Abstract

Tugas akhir ini, membuat perancangan aplikasi mobile berbasis Android untuk mempermudah memasukkan perintah SMS pengaturan On/Off lampu jarak jauh pada smart phone. Pada perancangan aplikasi mobile pengaturan On/Off lampu menggunakan konsep Object Oriented, melalui metode RUP (Rational Unijied Process) dan menggunakan teknik UML (Unijied Modeling Language). Dimana dalam membangun aplikasi mobile pengaturan On/Off lampu pada Android menggunakan Software Astah Comunity, Eclipse Helios, ADT, Android SDK’ Java Runtime Environment dan emulator sebagai simulasi pengujian aplikasi. Tujuan dibuat aplikasi tersebut dapat membantu pengguna, untuk memasukan kode perintah SMS dengan memanfaatkan kecanggihan teknologi layar sentuh pada smart phone android. Sehingga aplikasi tersebut dapat membantu pengguna dalam memasukkan perintah SMS untuk mengatur On/Off lampu jarak jauh, tanpa harus mengetik perintah SMS secara manual. Tetapi pada lampu yang akan diatur On/Off terlebih dahulu harus dihubungkan pada perangkat tambahan yaitu RTU 5011 (Remote Terminal Unit).
