Abstract

Songket is a valuable weaving craft. Ogan Ilir district as one of the songket production centers in South Sumatera Province has potential songket weavers that spread in many subdistricts, i.e Inderalaya, Pemulutan, and Tanjung Batu. However, there are problems related to productivity. The research aims to gained odds model of productivity based on factors that affect it. The independent variables researched are age, work period, education, income, work motivation, work culture, and business motivation. The model used binary logistics regression and 304 songket weavers as samples. The result of simultaneous modeling showed that there are three factor which simultaneously significant effect productivity of songket weavers. Those factors are work period, education, and income. Based on the results of the model, the songket weavers who have work period 44 to 58 years, passed higher school, very low income category will have highest probability (99.58%) to get high productivity. The songket weavers who have work period 1 to 14 years, do not have education or do not pass elementary school, have very high income category will have lowest probability to get high productivity, which is 4.36%.
