Abstract

The objective of this study is to improve the ability of student in X grade at PGRI High School by audiovisual media based on inspirational story. The implementation of this study is done classically by applying audiovisual media baesd on inspirational story to improve the ability of students to think positively. This study method used Action Research Counseling. Data obtained through the scale of think positively and observation, which were analyzed quantitively and qualitatively interpreted. Subject numbered is 11 students in X grade who had average of positive thinking score in the low category. This study is done in two cycles. In the first cycle average postive thinking score of students increased into medium category, and then in the second cycle the average of positive thinking score of students also increased the high category. The result are also consistent with observations that show improvement after the first cycle in the low category then becomes high after the second cycle. From the result it could be recommended that the implementation of audiovisual media based on inspirational story tend to be able to improve the ability of students to think positively.
