Abstract

Kerupuk and Kemplang Factory is a company in the food industry that has several supporting units to help smooth the operations of the company. Combatible sin processing raw materials can affect the smooth production, resulting in stopped of the productions process. The excess inventory of raw materials. The purpose of this research is to get the optimal raw material requetements accordiung to production needs. the approach used in this study uses a deterministich model with the Silver Meal method. By using the Silver Meal method in controlling raw material inventories, Kerupuk and Kemplang 818, the total cost of raw material inventory is smaller than the total inventory cost applied by the company. Inventory cost saving of Rp. 4,480,161,280 with total inventory efficiency of raw material requirements of 17.31%.
