Abstract

AHP method can be used in selection of contraception method for spacing pregnancies and and the number of births. This study aims to determine the criteria taken into consideration the selection of contraceptive methods and determine the most desirable contraception methods. Criteria for selection include the objectives, age, health and side effects, then the alternatives are IUD, condoms, injections and pills. The analysis shows the order of the criteria in the selection of contraceptive methods are objective criteria 50.14 %, age 31.56 %, health 12.54% and side effects 5.75 %. Judging from these criteria, method of contraception is the most sought IUD 50.81 %, condoms 19.59 %, injections 18.99 %, and pill 10.60 %.
