Abstract

This study aims to determine the interest in learning, learning styles, and its relation to Biology learning outcomes of students class X and XI SMAN 2 Unggulan Talang Ubi Pendopo on the subject ekosistem and sistem ekskresi. Type of research is ex post facto research and is correlational. The samples in this study were the students of class X and XI SMAN 2 Unggulan Talang Ubi pendopo as many as 95 people taken randomly. The data in this study are quantitative data obtained from questionnaires, observation, and documentation of biology learning outcomes of students. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive and inferential statistical analysis with correlation and regression. The results of the study (i) the learning interest of students (ii) the learning styles of students are generally in kinesthetic type (iii) the results of learning Biology of students class X is good category and class XI is good category (iv) learning interest has a medium level of relationship to the outcomes of students (v) learning styles have low level relation with the learning outcomes (vi) learning interest and learning styles have a medium level of relationship to the outcomes of students of SMAN 2 Unggulan Talang Ubi.
