Abstract

This research aims to obtain information about students' perceptions on environmental change material in senior high school that have adiwiyata and non adiwiyata programs. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted in two senior high schools (SMA) in Palembang. 20% students of grade XI from two school were choosed randomly as respondent in this research. Two Senior High School (SMA) in Palembang selected as representative based on implementation of Adiwiyata Program, i.e. SMA Negeri 1 Palembang which had implemented the program, and SMA Negeri 2 Palembang which had not implemented the adiwiyata program. Data collection techniques in this study were 1) Observation sheets, which aimed to obtain the information about student activities during the follow material on environmental change. 2) Questionnaire sheets, which contains the statement to find out how students' perceptions after they learn about environmental change. The results showed that both of two senior high schoolhad a different perceptions that is, SMAN 1 Palembang students (97%) was higher than SMAN 2 Palembang (67%).
