Abstract
The increasingly stringent business competition demands companies to prevent waste of resources used particularly in the production process. A process of examination is required in assessing the company's performance to prevent frequent waste. Operational audits are audits that emphasize systematic and objective assessments and aim to gain confidence in the effectiveness, efficacy, and economy of the company's operational activities. PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang is one of the companies engaged in the production of urea fertilizer. The issue is about the implementation of operational audit in the production of PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja and whether the implementation of operational audits on the production has been referring to increased efficiency, effectiveness and economy. The method used in this study is a descriptive research method with a type of case study research. Focus on research is production activities, criteria for efficiency, effectiveness, and economics. The research explained that the audit management of PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja is conducted by internal auditors, independent auditors, and government auditors. Based on the data analysis results in 2015-2017, shows that the efficiency of the use of raw materials and labor took place in the year 2015 and the efficiency of the highest labor use in 2017. While efficacy for 2015-2017 has not been reached and the economics of production during the 2015-2017 is still far economical level.
