Abstract
Rubber seed is part of the rubber plant which is currently used as an alternative material feed fish because it contains crude protein around 25-33%, amino acid essentials and non essentials except histidine and triptophan. The purpose of this research of using fermented rubber seed flour in feed was the to know growth, feed eficiency and survival rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research was conducted on June to September 2017 in Aquaculture Laboratorium, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya. Feed proximate analysis was conducted at Chemical and Agriculture Microbiology Laboratory, Agriculture Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya. The method used in this research was completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. The treatments were without the addition of seed flour rubber (0%) in feed formulation (P0), the addition of seed flour rubber at 5% in feed formulation (P1), the addition of seed flour rubber at 10% in feed formulation (P2), addition flour rubber seed by 15% in feed formulation (P3), the addition of rubber seed flour by 20% in feed formulation (P4). The result of this research showed that the use of fermented rubber seed flour 10% in feed formulation absolute length 2.82 cm and weight 4.00 g, feed efficiency 51.39% and survival rate 86,67%. The water quality during research were still optimum for tilapia culture. The temperature was around 27.1-29.9˚C, pH 6.8-7.6, dissolved oxygen 3.44-5.8 mg.Lˉ¹ and ammonia 0.001-0.019 mg.Lˉ¹.
