Abstract

Presenters have the most important role in television programs, presenters who can guide the program well will increase the comfort of the audience in watching the event. TVRI South Sumatera, conducted a selection of presenters which became an annual agenda to screen the best young people from all cities in South Sumatera who have the ability to speak in public well and have broad insight. The process is still relatively conventional, making the presenter selection process longer and less efficient. TVRI South Sumatera needs a Decision Support System that can filter out a number of presenters from a large number of registrants quickly and accurately. This system uses the Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method which is a method of selecting a group of applicants to be ranked based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria so that a solution for decision makers will be produced. The results of the study are in the form of a website-based decision support system application that uses the VIKOR method in its calculations, so as to facilitate TVRI South Sumatera in the presenter selection process that matches the expected criteria.
