Abstract

Obesitas sentral merupakan ketidakseimbangan energi antara diet padat energi dan aktivitas fisik yang rendah sehingga menyebabkan akumulasi lemak di sekitar perut dan dinilai berdasarkan lingkar pinggang. Faktor risiko untuk terjadinya obesitas sentral yaitu, perubahan gaya hidup, seperti kebiasaan merokok, konsumsi makanan berlemak, jarang mengkonsumsi sayur dan buah, rendahnya aktivitas fisik, usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, pekerjaan, pendapatan per kapita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor risiko dari obesitas sentral pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Univesitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-Desember 2019. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang berada di Fakultas Kedokter Universitas Sriwijaya. Data diperoleh melalui pemeriksaan lingkar pinggang, pengisian kuisioner, dan wawancara singkat yang kemudian dianalisis dengan uji chi-square menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Pada 98 responden ditemukan 65 responden yang mengalami obesitas sentral. Hasil analisis menunjukkan untuk jenis kelamin, asupan kalori dan asupan lemak bermakna dengan kejadian obesitas sentral ( p=0,000, p=0,031, p=0,044). Sedangkan untuk hasil analisis usia, aktivitas fisik, lingkungan, ekonomi, keturunan, kendaraan tidak bermakna dengan kejadian obesitas sentral (p=0,900, p=0,783, p=1,000, p=0,237, p=0,316, p=0,685). Pada penelitian ini jenis kelamin, asupan kalori dan asupan lemak menjadi faktor risiko terjadinya obesitas sentral. Sedangkan usia, aktivitas fisik, lingkungan, ekonomi, keturunan, kendaraan tidak menjadi faktor risiko terjadinya obesitas sentral.
