Abstract

The problem of this research is to study the public accountability in In Department of Population and Civil Registration Palembang City. Its purpose is to discover the attainment/success rate of the public accountability In Department of Population and Civil Registration Palembang City This research is included to descriptive research which aims determine the success rate of pubic accountability In Department of Population and Civil Registration Palembang City. The data being used is primary data, and the data collection technique is using the interview and documentation method. The analysis method being used is qualitative analysis method. This research is useful for Department of Population and Civil Registration Palembang City as an input on the importance of financial report in an government organization unit that has repertory function as a part of public accountability. The result shows the performance assessment of public accountability In Department of Population and Civil Registration Palembang City focused on financial report in In Department of Population and Civil Registration. Financial coundition as measured by the concept of 3E (Economical, Efficient, Effective) is said to be good. The integrity of financial statement has been effective, and the Department of Population and Civil Registration Palembang City has revealed the information required by Government Accounting Standard.
