Abstract

The study aims to improve the children storytelling abilites of group B by using skectch media. The type of research used is clasroom action reseaarch with the Kemis & MC Model. Taggart. This research was conducted in two cycles with a couple or meetings. The sample of this study were 15 children consisting of 9 girls and 6 boys. The steps in this research method are : 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. The techniques of data collection were both observation and documentation. It could be seen from the results of the improvement in children’s storytelling abilities from the pres-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. In the pre-cycle there were 4 children (26,6%) that were increasing in cycle 1, there were 6 children (40%) in ability of children to develop as expected and in cycle 2 there were 12 children (80%) in ability of children to develop as expected. The results of data analysis showed that there were vocabulary mastery indicators, the simply of retelling the contects of the story and the accuration of the sentence in very mettings. Based on the research above, it could be summarized that throught sketch media it will improve the children storytelling abilities of group B in TK Kartika II-1 Palembang which develop (BSH) as expected.
