Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes and activeness of V studenst at SD Negeri 1 Suryakarta on Trapezoidal and Kite Area material with an Exploration Approach.This type of research used is classroom action research. It takes 2 cycles to achieve an indicator of the success of this study. The stages carried out in the study are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used were tests and observations. Based on the results and discussion of this study it was found that in the first cycle the mastery of classical learning outcomes reached 47.83%. Then in the second cycle the classical completeness of students reached 82.61%.From the observation data during the learning process, the percentage of students' activeness in the first cycle was 74.42%, then in the second cycle was 82.80%.From these data shows that an increase in learning outcomes and activeness of students in grade V SD Negeri 1 Suryakarta on Trapezoidal and Kite Area material with an Exploration Approach.
