Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of Palembang City government in 2011 to 2018 based on 5 Ratios, namely, regional financial independence ratio, effectiveness ratio, efficiency ratio, activity ratio and growth ratio. Data analysis activities were taken from the Palembang City Budget and Balance Sheet Realization Report at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency. The results of the study show that the independence of the city of Palembang in financing its own government activities, development and service to the community is still low. The effectiveness of managing regional budgets continues to decline but the management of costs incurred to obtain taxes has been carried out efficiently. The Palembang City Government prioritizes most of the funds for indirect expenditure needs, the Regional Expenditure Budget Expenditure grows on average, although there are some negative growth in certain ratios and years.
