Abstract

Abstract : This study is entitled "The relationship between arm muscle explosive power and togok flexibility with the results of discus throwing at middle school Negeri 1 Palembang". The problem raised is whether there is a relationship between the explosive power of the arm muscles and togok flexibility with the results of the discus throwing at middle school Negeri 1 Palembang students? The purpose of this study was to determine how much the relationship between arm muscle explosive power and togok flexibility with the results of discus throwing at middle school Negeri 1 Palembang students. This research is a type of correlation research. In this study, the population was grade VIII students middle school of Negeri 1 Palembang. The number of samples of this study was 65 students, the way of data collection was by conducting arm muscle explosive power test with full up, togok flexibility test with sit and reach in the form of modification, and disc throwing ability test. The statistical test used to analyze the data in this study is the "r" squared test. Based on the results of the study found the relationship of arm muscle explosive power. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between arm muscle explosive power and the flexibility of togok with the results of discus throwing at middle school 1 Palembang students.
