Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a correlational study that aims to find out whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and knowledge of the talents and interests on 10th grade students of MIPA class in SMAN 13 Palembang. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA totaling 180 students. The sample in this study amounted to 64 students using simple random sampling techniques. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection instruments using a Likert Scale using two questionnaires, namely the self-confidence questionnaire and the questionnaire of knowledge of talent and interests. Data analysis was performed using the product moment correlation formula. The results of data analysis from this study obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.13 which shows that confidence and knowledge of talent and interest have a positive relationship with a very low level of relationship. Based on the results of the hypothesis test conducted there is a positive relationship between self-confidence and knowledge of the talents and interests of students of class X MIPA in SMA Negeri 13 Palembang.
