Abstract
This study aims to produce an authentic and practical kind of children's cognitive book group B Kindergarten valid and practical. This type of research is the development using the ADIDE model proposed by Dick & Carey with the stages of needs and objectives analysis, developing and selecting assessment materials (product design), and evaluation. Evaluation using the Tessmer fomative evaluation method consists of self evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The results of expert review obtained an average of 87% with a very valid category. This means that the assessment book is in accordance with the contents of the field of cognitive development for group B Kindergarten children, then the construct consists of readability and appropriateness of images, while from the media seen from the book packaging, display design, use of letters and font sizes and illustrations of authentic assessment books . In the stage of one to one evaluation and small group evaluation obtained a percentage of 94% with the category of very practical. This means that the ease of use of authentic assessments is easy for the examiner and the instructions for using authentic assessments are easy to understand. To achieve the perfection of an authentic assessment book deficiency of 13%, it can be seen from the authentic assessment material that dominates the cognitive development aspect as well as the lack of valid media, namely the lack of images. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the authentic assesment book on cognitive fields has been tested as valid and practical as well as feasible to use.
