Abstract
This study aims to 1) assess the procedures or measures in the implementation of the marketing audit on PT. United Tractors Palembang branch and 2) Knowing the follow-up of management with the marketing audit. The results showed that the management audit of the company's marketing function has not been effective. This is because lack of independence, lack of information contained in audit reports, auditor oversight and lack of follow-up stage. In terms of follow-up management, marketing audits help management in an effort to optimize its marketing functions. Can be said to have management audit function to help improve management performance. To improve the management audit that is not effective, the authors recommend that firms increase the independence, completing the audit report as well as enhanced monitoring in order to heighten the level of direct supervision by the auditor.
