Abstract

DPMD Musi Rawas District provides public and village empowerment services in the form of extension activities and training to village government officials. However, this activity was not held too often, so village government officials who participated in this activity often forgot or lost the knowledge shared in this activity. Also, the existing knowledge among employees is not evenly distributed because the sharing of knowledge carried out among employees is still ineffective and the knowledge available in DPMD Musi Rawas District has not been well documented and employees find it difficult to find that knowledge. By using the Knowledge Management System (KMS) which applies the string matching method with the Boyer Moore algorithm can help the process of searching, disseminating, learning, and documenting existing knowledge. This study uses a 10-step knowledge management roadmap system development method by Amrit Tiwana (1999) and applies the string matching search method to the Boyer Moore algorithm. This algorithm will help in finding strings to the contents of the document text more effectively, making it easier for Musi Rawas District DPMD staff and village government officials to find knowledge and be able to streamline the time used.The final result of this research is a website using the PHP programming language.
