Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of photo media modeling techniques from the Internet on the poster writing skills of eighth grade students of Palembang State Middle School 18. The method used is a quasi-experimental method. The sample of this study consisted of two classes, namely class VIII.2 as an experimental class which amounted to 30 students with the treatment of Photo Media Modeling Technique from the Internet, and class VIII.3 as a control class totaling 30 students with conventional techniques commonly used by teachers. Data collection techniques used test techniques and data processing techniques using t-test calculations with SPSS 24 program. The results showed an increase in test results in the experimental class was greater than the control class. The results of the t-test show that p <.000 <0.05, meaning that there are significant differences between the two groups of samples in this study, the success achieved by the experimental class is more influential than the control class. Thus, Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. The hypothesis that reads "There is a difference in poster writing skills between students taught by the Photo Media Modeling Technique from the Internet and students taught with conventional techniques (µ1 ≠ µ2)" are accepted. With the acceptance of Ha, it can be said that the Photo Media Modeling Technique from the Internet has an influence on poster writing skills of eight grade students of Palembang State Middle School 18.
