Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills in class XI SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. The population in this study amounted to 185 students. Sampling was conducted in this study using purposive sampling with a sample of 95 respondents. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with the product moment correlation method. Data collection techniques using the Confidence scale and Interpersonal Communication Skills Scale. Based on the analysis of research data, the r count is 0.356 and rtable 0.201 so that 0.356> 0.201 at a significant level of 0.05 in conclusion there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills in class XI students of SMA 19 Palembang where Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
