Abstract
This research was aims at improved the activeness and learning outcomes of grade V SD Negeri 1 Palembang by applying POE model in the theme learning of ecosystem. This research uses the method of classroom action with three cycles of action. Data collection techniques that is used is test and observation. Action class research has four stages namely Planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Subject in the research is V grade student of SD Negeri 1 Palembang with a total of 18 students consisting of 8 females students and 10 male students . The result of this study was in the cycle I of the learning outcomes of students reached 69% classical completenesswith an average value of 69,4. Then in Cycle II, the learning outcomes of students reached 88% classical completeness with an average value of 85,6.From the observations, in the first cycle the percentage of student activity reached 69,23% in the active category, in the second cycle there was an increase of 81% in the very active category. So it can be concluded that using POE model can improve activennes and student learning outcomes in the Theme of ecosystem in grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Palembang.
