Abstract

Business hotels have an important role for a city, especially the city of Palembang, which is growing rapidly and becoming a place of the business industry sector which has great potential, one of which is in the field of tourism, namely the Musi River. The purpose of this report is to accommodate lodging and tourism in the city of Palembang, learn how to design buildings on the banks of the river and produce designs that pay attention to and apply contextual aspects that can unite the natural elements of river banks so as to provide attraction to the river area. From the results of the building design is oriented to the river and creates the impression of a waterfront into the hotel, the number of openings towards the river on the road section of the building makes it seem increasingly smaller because in order to make the area on the road not feel cramped.
