Abstract

Background: Sectio caesarea delivery is an artificial delivery in which the fetus is born through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterine wall with full uterus and weighing above 500 grams. Caesarean section labor can cause pain due to surgery on the tissue. One of the non-pharmacological management to deal with pain that is often given, among others, is by aromatherapy. Purpose: Describe nursing care in post sectio caesarea cases, and implement evidence-based interventions in overcoming pain in post sectio caesarean mothers in Enim Room 2.2 RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: Using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach Results: All three cases of management have the same three nursing problems, namely acute pain, impaired physical mobility, and impaired skin integrity. And other nursing problems that arise namely hyperthermia and breastfeeding are not effective. Discussion: The results of the study of 3 patients managed by post-sectio caesarea have a major complaint that is pain so that the problem of acute pain nursing is established. Actions that can be done to overcome pain by identifying pain scales, giving and teaching deep breathing relaxation techniques using lavender aromatherapy and collaboration with analgesic administration. The evaluation results found that there was a decrease in the pain scale in all three patients after breathing relaxation interventions were given with lavender aromatherapy. Conclusion: Lavender aroma therapy has an effect on pain reduction in all three patients with post sectio caesarea. Keywords: Post Sectio Caesarea, Pain, Lavender Aromatherapy.
