Abstract
Storage capacity is needed to save the source of electrical energy from solar power plants and testing must be done to get a good storage capacity. In this study, a battery capacity measurement tool is made. Then, a sensor test, Discharge Rate test and battery capacity calculation are done using two methods. Sensor testing aims to find out how accurate the results of the Capacity Tester calculation, Discharge rate testing aims to get the characteristics of the battery being tested and the calculation of battery capacity using two methods aiming to get more accurate battery capacity calculation results after testing. Based on the results of sensor testing on the Capacity tester, the error value for the voltage sensor is 0.07739%, current sensor is 4.44%, temperature sensor is 9.375%. the battery discharge rate test found the discharge rate characteristics at C20 with gradually decreasing and stable voltage while at C4, C2 and C1 the voltage gradually decreased but not stable. Each battery capacity is obtained using two methods, for the time capacity method at C20 is 2.952 Ah, C4 is 0.588 Ah, C2 is 0.3114 Ah and C1 is 0.1614 Ah. For the coulomb method at C20 is -4.108.5 Ah, C4 is 12,102 Ah, C2 is 13,489 Ah and C1 is 12,448 Ah of the two methods it can be concluded that the time capacity method has a more accurate calculation value.
