Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the effect of demonstration method on learning outcomes in basic engineering work subject in X TPM class at Vocational High School 2 Palembang. The variables of this study are demonstration methods and learning outcomes. The sampling technique in this study used Nonprobability Sampling, a type of systematic sampling is consisting of 2 population classes. The sample class in this study consisting of 1 class with 35 students in 1 class is consisting with 2 groups A and B. The experimental class was taken from the group A and the control group from the group B. Data collection techniques using the posttest with 16 multiple choice questions. The average value is 75 from the experimental class and 53.10 for the control class. The results of hypothesis test with a value of tcount = 3.348, ttable = 2.035 tcount> ttable. It can be concluded that there is an influence of student learning outcomes in the experimental class with the demonstration method learning with control group".
