Abstract

This study is entitled "The Development of Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya Islamic Boarding School in Ogan Ilir Regency in 1998-2018". The problem in this research was how the development of Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School in Ogan Ilir Regency in 1998-2016, then how was the education system of Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School in Indralaya, and how is the role of the cleric / ustadzah in supporting the development of Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School in Indralaya. The purpose of this research is to find out the history of the formation of Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School in Indralaya Ogan Ilir Regency in 1998-2016, besides the purpose of this study was to find out how the education system of Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School in Indralaya, and to know how the role of the cleric / cleric in supporting the development of Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya Islamic boarding school. Then the methodology used in this study was the historical method with heuristic steps, source criticism namely there are two kinds of criticism, the first is internal criticism and the second is external criticism, interpretation, historiography, and approach. From the results of the study it was found that the Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya Islamic boarding school in Ogan Ilir Regency was established in 1967, and experienced a significant development in 1998 because at that time many students received scholarships abroad and many haffiz / haffizah were able to compete at the level national. The Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School in Indralaya increases the number of students each year, with the existence of the Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School, Indralaya, of course, having an impact on Indralaya people's lives, both in the economic, religious and social fields of the Indralaya community.
