Abstract
The retina is an important part of the eye that covers the eye area with light sensitive cells. OD detection is the first part of the change in shape, color or depth of OD to help detect some diseases such as diabetic retinopathy or any type of eye injury. OD segmentation is very important in image analysis, helping diagnosis for various types of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma. In this study using the Luminance Channel and Active Contour and using the STARE dataset, first convert the original image to HSL (hue, saturation, lightness), increase contrast with Clahe, , then eliminate noise in the retinal image and improve the quality of image detail using the Gaussian Filter, then for the detection stage using Active Contour in a circular transformation combining the same OD detection and OD segmentation and placing both OD centers and OD boundaries together. Using this method the results are 95% accuracy and 95% sensitivity.
