Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of concept attainment methode with virtual learning on the student's achievement and motivation of Animalia materials in the class X SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. The study used Quasi Experimental methode with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling class using Simple Random Sampling technique so the class was selected namely is a class X IPA 4 as the experimental class and X IPA 6 as the control class. Instrument for achievement is multiple choice of 20 questions and motivation questionnaire with a likert scale of 26 items. Both instruments performed an adequate validation test, and declared valid and reliable. Achievement and learning motivation data were tested by analysis of covariate (ancova) using SPSS 25. The results showed that learning using concept attainment model with virtual learning had a significant effect on acievement (sig. 0,000) and learning motivation (sig. 0,000). The average experimental class students were higher (79,30) than the control class (77,33). The average value of learning motivation in the experimental class is (85,78) while the control class is (80,56). Keywords: Learning result, concept attainment model, learning motivation, animalia.
