Abstract
This study aims to determine the best dose of urea use in ammonized TMF of the fiber contents based on Van Soest analysis. This research was carried out in April until December 2019 with two stages, firstly making amoniation levels of TMF in cage experiment of the Technology and Industry of Animal Husbandry study program and the second stage was Van Soest analysis conducted at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment consisted of P1: Ammoniation with urea dose of 0.4%, P2: Ammoniation with urea dose of 0.4% and 0.2% and P3: Amoniation with urea dose of 0.6%, 0.4% and 0,2%. The parameters observed in this study were NDF, ADF, cellulose and lignin. The results obtained in this study were the use of different urea doses on ammonized TMF significantly affected (P <0.05) on the content of NDF, ADF, cellulose and lignin. The use of urea in Ammonized TMF can be given up to a dose of urea 1.2% (0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6%). The content value obtained at ammonized TMF with a dose of 1.2% is NDF 35.96%, ADF 20.03%, cellulose 15.51% and lignin 4.70%.
