Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan antara citra tubuh (body image) dengan karakter percaya diri peserta didik di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini kuantitatif serta Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa SMA Negeri 11 Palembang yang berjumlah 195 orang dan kemudian sampel dipilih berjumlah 115 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling adalah teknik pengumpulan sampel sumber data dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua variabel yaitu variabel X body image dan variabel Y percaya diri. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dokumentasi dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara citra tubuh (body image) dengan percaya diri. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan korelasi pearson product moment. Dari pengujian tersebut diperoleh nilai sig sebesar 0,002 dan nilai α (0,002 < 0,05), maka Hₒ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Dengan diterimanya Hₐ sebagai hasil analisis, yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara citra tubuh (body image) dengan karakter percaya diri di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Kata-kata kunci: Body Image, Percaya Diri, SMA Negeri 11Palembang. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship of body image to confidence in SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. The research method used in this study is quantitative and the population in this study is Palembang Public High School 11 students, amounting to 195 people and then the sample was chosen as many as 115 people. The sample in this study was taken using proportionate stratified random sampling is a technique for collecting data sources with certain considerations. This study uses two variables, namely the variable X body image and the variable Y confidence. Data collection techniques used are documentation and questionnaires. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between body image on self-confidence. This can be proven from the results of hypothesis testing using Pearson product moment correlation. From the test, a sig value of 0.002 and a value of α (0,002 <0.05) are obtained, then Hₒ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. With the acceptance of Hₐ as the result of the analysis, which means there is a significant relationship between body image and confidence in SMA Negeri 11 Palembang.
