Abstract

The current development of technology increases the need for electricity. As one of the electricity suppliers, PT. PLN has to be able to meet this need. One of the ways to anticipate the overload is through forecasting. Forecasting is a prediction or estimation of the future either in short, medium, or long term periods. The forecasting in Simpang Tiga Indralaya substation used the time series method. Based on the secondary data from the past 4 years, the research could calculate the trend component, the cycle component, and the forecast component values. The result of the calculation showed that the load will increase with peak power of 51.477 MW and the highest average load power value of 49.5531 MW for the next five years. It also revealed that Simpang Tiga Indralaya substation will not be overload in the next five years. However, it requires additional transformers because the load within the next 5 years has exceeded the established operating standards.
