Abstract

Each organization must have a different communication pattern. Communication patterns are the process of delivering messages to message recipients directly using an easy-to-understand way so that the message sender can receive feedback from the message recipients. This study examines communication patterns formally and informally to know the pattern of communication between the leadership and subordinates in Zidam II Sriwijaya. Communication patterns can be seen from communication between leaders and subordinates. In this research are visible patterns of communication in conveying information from one person to another. This research also shows people who stand out in an organization group. The theory used in this study is Effendy theory where there are five models of communication patterns, including chain patterns, wheel patterns, circular patterns, star patterns and letter Y patterns. The study used a qualitative method approach that this research procedure would result in descriptive data of words or verbal from behavior and those observed to also use in-depth interview techniques on six people informers. The collection of data on this research is done by observing to see the communication that is intertwined between the chairman and subordinate. In addition, there are also documentation photo interviews with informant and activities. The results of the research in Zidam II Sriwijaya showed that there are three types of models of new communication patterns that occur namely wheel pattern, star pattern or all channels and pattern letter Y.
