Abstract

This study discusses about “The Effect of The Intensity of Smartphone Use On Prosocial Behavior In sriwijaya University Students” with using associative quantitative research methods. The population in this study was 34.164 Sriwijaya University students who were studying S1 and the sample in this study were 100 students who were obtained using the slovin formula. Data collection techniques ini this study using a questionnaire method using a likert scale which has five criteria for answers. The results showed that the intensity of smartphone use had a positive and significant effect on prosocial behavior in Unsri students, indicated by the pearson product moment test (r) is 0,282 > 0,195 (r table) and the coefficient of determination test showed the magnitude of the effect of the intensity of smartphone use on prosocial behavior in Unsri students only 7,9% while 92,1% is influenced by other factors.
