Abstract

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero), Tbk, through its Tuban 1 Unit, provides limestone for cement production using a crushing plant system with hammer crusher technology driven by electric energy. The problem that arises is the amount of electrical energy used to produce the product size is considered inefficient when seen from the size of the crushed feed, there are still many chunks. The purpose of this study was to assess and evaluate the blasting result of limestone fragmentation, to analyze the performance of the hammer crusher and to analyze the electric power usage of the hammer crusher. The average size of lime fragmentation based on the calculation of the kuz-ram was 41,17 cm with a fragmentation size distribution > 75 cm of 15,93%. These results have not met the target the company wants. Hammer crusher works effectively for 6,655 hours/day (efficiency of 31,64%) with a production of 8.987,78 tons/day and an average product size of 11,68 cm. Efficiency is still considered low and production targets are not achieved. The amount of actual electric power usage averaged 268 Kw with the energy used of 0,198 Kwh/ton. The use of electric power can still be streamlined by providing suggestions for blasting geometry designs to improve fragmentation size and improve hammer crusher performance by reducing drag times so that a good feed rate is obtained. From the results of the improvement, after calculating the Bond equation, it is found that the use of electric power to reach a product size of 10 cm is 259,7 Kw or the energy used is 0,193 Kwh/ton.
