Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of financial performance of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of South Sumatra Province in 2018 using the perspective of value for money, value for money is an organizational management concept that is based on three main criteria, namely economy, efficiency and effectiveness. This research is a descriptive study with the object of research is the realization of southern financial achievement data contained in the Government Agency Performance Accountability Report (LAKIP) Department of Energy and Mineral Resources in South Sumatra Province in 2018. The data collection method used is documentation study, and supported with interviews . The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis on economic, efficiency and effectiveness measurements. Based on the results of a study of the financial performance of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources in South Sumatra Province in 2018, it showed an economical, very efficient and effective level of performance. To get optimal results at the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, it is necessary to make an economical, efficient and effective plan, for that the thing that must be done is to improve the competence of human resources by following or observing price fluctuations in the market, equalizing qualifications according to what has been become an agency rule, and minimize spending on each program every year.
