Abstract

Ion Speciation research of Cr3+ dan Cr6+ has been conducted using potentiometric cell system potentiometric methods. The aim of this research is to determine the optimum conditions (pH and Temperature), validate the method (LoQ, LoD, accuracy, and precision), and determine ionic water content of Cr3+ dan Cr6+in the leachate. Potentiometric cell concentration methods, consist of metal chromium anodes and cathodes dipped in a chrome ion electrolyte solution with different concentration with KNO3 salt bridges. Cell potential is measured with a voltmeter. Research results obtained that optimum conditiona of ion Cr3+ dan Cr6+ speciation occurs at pH 5 and 30 oC. This method is valid for Cr3+ ion with LoD and LoQ which is 0,297 mg/L dan 0,298 mg/L, while LoD and LoQ Cr6+ is 0,226 mg/L dan 0,229 mg/L. Precision method based on % RSD for Cr3+ ion 0,01 % and Cr6+ ions 1,06 %, with accuracy reaching 89,42 % for Cr3+ ion and 94,90 % for Cr6+ ion. Level of Cr3+ ions in leachate pool 1, 2, 3, and 4 indicate between 2,31 mg/L and 4,89 mg/L, while Cr3+ ion is between 2,29 mg/L and 5,39 mg/L.
