Abstract
When Retinal blood vessels have unique characteristics with their shape and size. Retinal vessels to supply blood and oxygen to all parts of the eye. This research presents a method for segmenting blood in the retinal image. In the first rare, convert the original image first to Gamma Correction, then pass the Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) process to improve the image quality of the retina image. To use direct decoration using Morphology Opening. The next step will be segmented with the Kirsch Template method that offers compatibility and gets maximum results. After the segmentation continues on the Delete Small Objects section, continue with the Median Filter and finally to remove the unwanted portion using the Morphology Closing. The dataset used in this study is DRIVE. In this case, the average value obtained is 87.15% accuracy, 39.30% sensitivity, and 94.60% specificity.
