Abstract

This research is entitled "Education of the Raider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya 2003-2018(Material Contribution of Recent Indonesian History Courses)". The problems in the research are how the process of establishing the Raider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya, how to educate theRaider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya, what is the role of the Raider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya in securing the Movement Free Aceh (GAM) and Maluku 2003-2018. The methodology used in this research is a historical method with the following steps: heuristics, source criticism, data interpretation and historiography. The approach used in this research is geographic, military, and political approaches. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the establishment of the Raider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya went through a process starting from special education and training within six months for modern warfare, anti-guerilla warfare, and protracted war. The battalions were trained to have three times the combat capability of the regular infantry battalions. The role that the Raider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya has played in its task of securing the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) is in each region by focusing on the efforts to destroy rebel groups. Raider 200/Bhakti Negara Infantry Battalion KodamII/Sriwijaya also played a role in securing Maluku by approaching the local community. Keywords :Education, Role, and Raider
