Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of local taxes and how much they contribute to Local Own Revenue, and to find out how much growth rate each year. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The data used are local tax data and eleven types of local taxes, and Local Own Revenue data from 2014 to 2019. The data analysis technique used are effectiveness, contribution, and growth rate analysis. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of local taxes is very effective. For the contribution of local taxes on Palembang’s Local Own Revenue is very good. As for the rate of growth, the average regional tax during 2014 to 2019 was included in the criteria of unsuccessful, but the total revenue realization always increasing year after year.
