Abstract
Solar cells organic type ( Dye-sensitized solar cell ) was developed for making relatively easy friendly environment with a pollution level that is low enough cost is not too large, the raw material is relatively easy in the can because there are in the neighborhood , one of the utilization of solar cells by converting radisasi The sun becomes electrical energy, namely dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) which uses dye as an organic type sensitizer . Utilization of organic dyes contained in some organic wastes as materials for making DSSC ( Dye-sensitized solar cells ) . The dye used comes from waste containing organic material that contains dye. Dye is obtained from the extraction of organic waste in the form of mangosteen peel, avocado peel, old ketapang leaves, and red onion skin. In this study, DSSC was given several treatments for different types of solvents, namely methanol and aquadest, and variations in the treatment of reducing pH dy e on each extraction result. The research consisted of several stages starting from the stages of preparing the DSSC structure, compiling the DSSC series , testing the DSSC and processing data. The parameters observed in this study were the absorbance characteristics of the dye, current and voltage, power, fill factor and DSSC efficiency. Dye Sensitized Solar Cell with old ketapang leaf extract dye by reducing the pH to a pH value of 1.2 and the solvent methanol showed the best performance with a V oc performance value of 406 mV, I sc of 0.045, an FF value of 0.2969, and an efficiency value of 2.5020%.
