Abstract
Question answering system is a system used to find information in accordance with the questions asked by the user. This system can be developed to help and make it easier to find the information contained in the hadith Bukhari-Muslim. This study uses word-match scoring for scoring based on the suitability of words in questions and documents. The score is used to determine the candidate answers based on the questions asked by the user by weighting the answers. Rule-based method uses a number of rules to find evidence that a sentence contains the type of answer to a question. Each rule provides an important clue to the sentence. After all rules have been paired, the identifier sentence will be returned as an answer. Based on the results of measuring the relevance of this question and answer system, it is where question words have the highest accuracy rate with a value of 85% and the lowest accuracy with a value of 67% on what question words.
