Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) Describe the stages in rice farming involving women and the amount of outpouring of labor in Pegayut Village, Pemulutan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District. (2) Analyzing social factors (age, level of formal education, farming experience) and economic factors (land area, number of family dependents, income in farming) in influencing the outpouring of female labor in rice farming in Pegayut Village, Pemulutan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District. (3) Analyzing women's labor on the dual role in rice farming in in Pegayut Village, Pemulutan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District. The research method used was a survey method. The sampling method in this study uses the Simple Random Method, which is the numbering method (lottery) with a total sample of 30 respondents. Data retrieval is done by taking primary data and secondary data. The results showed that (1) The stages of work involving female workers rawa lebak rice farming in Pegayut village are at the stage of seeding, planting, maintaining, fertilizing, and harvesting with total 36,8 HOK/year of labor. (2) Significant factors for the outpouring of female workers on rice farming in Pegayut village are formal education, farming experience and land area. (3) Perceptions of female workers towards on their dual role in rice farming is postive at 86,7%.
