Abstract
Smart systems are used to detect computer malfunctions using Classification And Regression Tree (CART) which is a method of decision tree technique. The technique will always be forked as the basis for building the rule base. The system takes the classes which become attributes. Then these attributes are processed so as to produce the greatest value of conformity (Goodness). CART which is optimized using Forward Chaining is suitable for detecting a problem because this method has a higher accuracy compared to other decision tree methods. The accuracy obtained by the CART and Forward Chaining methods is 89.4%.
