Abstract

This study aims to produce valid and practical teaching materials for group B children in Darma Wanita Palembang Kindergarten and research objects in the form of set teaching materials. Research method with the Rowntree model and modification of Tessmer formative evaluations. The evaluation phase consists of four screens, namely self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques consist of walkthroughs and observations. Based on the expert review results obtained material validity value of 87% with a very valid category because it fulfills the criteria in the material namely content validity with learning suitability indicators for children aged 5-6 years and construct validity with indicators of material description according to the needs and development of children 5 -6 years. The validity of the media obtained a value of 93.75% and has met the assessment criteria for educational, technical, and aesthetic products. Based on the assessment of the results of the expert review obtained an average value of 90.3% with a very valid category and is suitable for use in the One-to-One Evaluation and Evaluation of Small Groups. Stage One-to-One Evaluation obtained an average value of three children at 88.6% and an average Small Group Evaluation obtained an average value of nine children at 88.3%. Of the two glasses made, the average value of 88.4% was obtained with a very practical category because it met the assessment indicators for teaching instructional materials. Thus the product consists of set teaching materials can be categorized as very valid and practical.
