Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Community Participation in Tourism Object Development (Study in Burai Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province)". The problems taken in this research are how the form of community participation in Burai Village in the development of tourist objects, what influences the people of DesaBurai in developing tourist objects, what are the results obtained from the development of tourist objects in Burai Village and the opinions of tourists about tourist objects in Burai Village. . This research is a qualitative research, the data technique is done by means of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the form of community participation in the development of tourist objects, there are four forms of participating in Promoting Tourism Objects through Social Media, Participating in Assisting Village Governments in Managing Tourism Objects, Building Independent Village MSMEs, and Participating in Village Competition Activities. Constraints that exist within the community area in managing tourist objects that are around internal and too external, are too internal. Lack of Awareness of Local Communities and Tourists in Maintaining Cleanliness and Participation of Local Communities in Tourism Object Development, and external security are the lack of training and lack of funding from the government Area. The results of the development of tourism objects are empathy for the economy of the people of Burai Village, Burai Village has become known to the wider community, the community gets relationships with visiting tourists, and transforms the structure of their livelihoods, and the last is that opinions on Burai Village tourism objects vary widely from tourists. who provide praise, input and tourists who provide criticism.
